Photography Discussion: "Let the Pictures Speak!"
Photography increasingly sought after and cultivated by various circles. Besides able to combine the sophistication of technology and aesthetics of art, other interesting things from photography is able to summarize the story through a visual language or images, hence the birth of a conjecture.
Last week (26 / 2) has been opened photography exhibition titled "Zoom in Bali" at Bentara Budaya Bali. The exhibition is curated by Iwan Darmawan Made it display dozens of photographic works that tell about various events and stories around Bali today.
A series of exhibition, will be held open discussions and workshops related to photography on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 10:00 pm at Bentara Budaya Bali, Jalan Prof. Ida Bagus Mantra number 88 A, By Pass Ketewel. In addition to discussing the aesthetic and techniques in photography, the dialogue that presents Made Iwan Darmawan as a speaker has also discussed topics related to Balinese life past, present and future, which is displayed by the artists try to photograph through the works on display. This event invites groups photography lovers all over Bali to discuss further about the role of communities in the development of creativity of the photo on the island.
In addition to wrestle photography, Made Iwan Darmawan also writers and never look alive as a journalist, active as a curator and photo competition jury. He also briefly studied at the School of Film and Television (FFTV) Jakarta Art Institute (1992). Most recent novel, Ayu Manda (Grasindo, 2010)
